Huus Löwen is located opposite the time-honoured Hotel Bären. The two houses live Appenzell tradition and modernity and celebrate passionate hospitality from the first Wöllkomm to the final Chönd zonis – come and visit us again!

Whether you are hiking, snowshoeing, staying with your family, attending a seminar or a wedding – Huus Löwen offers 24 lovingly furnished rooms in three categories. In the historical part, traditional construction awaits you, the new rooms captivate with “Appenzeller Strickholz” (Appenzell knitted wood) and a view of the Alpstein.
Check-in takes place at the Hotel Bären, just opposite Huus Löwen. The rich breakfast is also served there in the cosy Bärenstube. In the Huus Löwen, the Maxi-Bars on each floor provide relief against thirst and wait with an apple for the hiking provisions.
From three nights onwards, you receive the Appenzell Holiday Card at no extra charge and can use various means of transport, cable cars, museums and other attractions free of charge. Free travel including luggage transport by public transport from all over Switzerland is also included.
